Export your AlwaysUp Application(s) from your Existing Server<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>\nIf you don&#8217;t want to move any applications\/services from your old server, go straight to step 2.<\/p>\n<p> Otherwise, to export each of your AlwaysUp applications to a XML file:\n<\/p>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>\n<p>Select <b>Application &gt; Export All&#8230;<\/b> to summon the <b>Browse For Folder<\/b> selector:<\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<a href=\"\/blog\/images\/export-services-browse-for-folder.png\" class=\"zoomPopup\" rel=\"zoomgroup noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Export Services - Browse For Folder\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/export-services-browse-for-folder.png\" border=\"0\" title=\"Export Services - Browse For Folder (click to enlarge)\" alt=\"Export Services - Browse For Folder\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Choose the folder where you would like the XML files to be saved.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Copy the XML files to a flash drive, or make them available on a network share that is accessible from your new PC. You will need them in step 3.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>2. Download &amp; Install AlwaysUp on your New Server<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>\nOn your new PC, <a href=\"\/products\/AlwaysUp\/AlwaysUp_Installer.exe\">download AlwaysUp<\/a> from our web site and <a href=\"\/products\/AlwaysUp\/Install.html\">follow these step-by-step instructions<\/a> to install it.<\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<a href=\"\/blog\/images\/installing-alwaysup.png\" class=\"zoomPopup\" rel=\"zoomgroup noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Installing AlwaysUp\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/installing-alwaysup.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"513\" height=\"399\" title=\"Installing AlwaysUp (click to enlarge)\" alt=\"Installing AlwaysUp\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<h2><b>3. Import your AlwaysUp Application(s) into your New Installation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>\nIf you exported applications in step 1, now is the time to import each of them into your new installation. On your new PC:\n<\/p>\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>\n<p>Select <b>Application &gt; Import&#8230;<\/b><\/p>\n<div align=\"left\">\n<a href=\"\/blog\/images\/alwaysup-import-application.png\" class=\"zoomPopup\" rel=\"zoomgroup noopener noreferrer\" title=\"Import Application\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/alwaysup-import-application.png\" border=\"0\" title=\"Import Application (click to enlarge)\" alt=\"Import Application\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Next, select the XML file representing the service you wish to restore. This will launch the <b>Add Application<\/b> window, already populated with the details of your service.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Review your application&#8217;s settings. Please pay special attention to the path to your main executable or script on the <a href=\"\/products\/AlwaysUp\/Screenshots\/alwaysup-add-application-general-tab-415x593.jpg\">General tab<\/a> (or any other file locations configured for your service) which may be different on this new PC.<\/p>\n<p>Note that you may have to re-enter your Windows password on the <a href=\"\/products\/AlwaysUp\/Screenshots\/alwaysup-add-application-logon-tab-415x593.jpg\">Logon tab<\/a> because that password was not exported along with your other settings (to enforce security standards).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Click the <b>Save&gt;&gt;<\/b> button to record this service.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Please repeat these steps for each of the applications\/services you wish to restore.<\/p>\n<h2><b>4. Register AlwaysUp on your New Server<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Chances are that the registration code assigned to your old PC won&#8217;t work on the new computer. You&#8217;ll need to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"\/products\/AlwaysUp\/AlwaysUp_FAQ.html#NewComputer\">Revoke your old license assignment<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/products\/AlwaysUp\/HowToAssignYourLicense\/\">Assign your license to your new installation<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-top:32px\">That&#8217;s it!
